These foods are happen to be sweet, loaded with fatty acids, in short unhealthy. Common examples are chocolates, chips, ice cream, etc. Research shows that these foods can effectively boost our moods, making us feel more calmed or relaxed. There is that part of the brain activated when such foods are eaten and this is why they immediately provide relief to fight a negative emotion. With this, we can that the food taken by the mouth has an effect on the emotions. Can you remember the last time you eat your favorite sweet? Is it the time wherein you are depressed? This is why obesity and other weight-related problems can’t be stopped because we end up eating the wrong foods for the sake of relief and comfort. What if we try to control it? But, you start to feel better. Fats can stimulate your emotion until it becomes normal. Anyway, not all comfort foods are unhealthy. There are already healthy alternatives if you are willing to try. The research aims to develop new drugs. But, it is already hard to prevent people’s addiction from what they call mood foods.
Comfort food can effectively deal with extreme feelings, depression, stress, agony, pain, but increasing the chances of getting obese. If your cravings is at its highest because your mood or emotion dictate then you get more weight. What’s the best thing to do now? Do we really need to eliminate comfort foods or change them only to healthy alternatives?
